I have just received and reviewed a one hour and a half video tape put out by state Representative Sam Rohrer (Pa.) created 5/4/99 called, "Exposing School-to Work...and What It Means to You." It costs $2O and can be purchased by writing to Representative Sam Rohrer's home address: 100 Love Road, Reading, Pa. 19607. It is so clear, researched, comprehensive and with a sense of urgency one could play this to a group or put it on community TV and you don't need to say a word-it speaks for itself. It explains systematic, comprehensive planning and the natinal work force dangers from Goals 2OOO , OBE, to the letter to Hillary, SCANS Report... You will find it awesome, scary, true in its perception/research. State Rep. Sam Rohrer is a patriot-legislator in sharing his information/passion for freedom opposing systems ed for some years now. Write to him, encourage him, perhaps he'll speak to your group, and by all means buy his STW expose-that every school board member and OBE supt. should see. 2. Several researchers opposing systems ed on this loop have mentioned the early warning about centralized planning in the book, "The Road to Serfdom" -published in 1944 by Friedrich A. Hayek-University of Chicago Press-25O pages paperback-available at public libraries or inter-library loan. I am re-reading it as it relates to what is happening in our own comprehensive economic planning through School to Work and other national planning strategies. The author details the loss of freedom through such a socialist/fascist process in eloquence. The clarity is frightening in that his thoughts on centralized culture management is where we are today with the battle for freedom versus totalitarian rule by planning. Get it, read it again. David Hume, "It is seldom that liberty of any kind is lost all at once." submitted by Gene Malone Freedom 2OOO/USA * How much mischief could be prevented if our elected readers would sit at home and read rather than plotting, golfing, fun/fundraising, national planning visioning, fighting, politicking, speaking, lying, lawmaking, lawbreaking, visioning utopian orders, deceiving, jogging, yachting, word bashing, propagandizing and so forth. Please, public servants, sit down, read a book-start with the Bible then go on to freedom literature. For the sake of the children, world calm, and the joy of the working peasants-sit down, read a book (maybe 8 hours a day).
