The description is: "The comprehensive, easy-to-understand citizen's manual that exposes Hillary Clinton and Marc Tucker's plot to control schools and the workforce through Goals 2000 and School-to-Work. Published by Minnesota's Maple River Education Coalition, the nation's most successful grassroots movement in the fight for educational freedom. Everything you need to know for effectively fighting educational totalitarianism in your state. Minnesota is the model and testing ground for the radical new system." [Note: Because they apparently have not been in regular contact with other states, they may not be aware of the fact that other states are also models and testing grounds for the radical new system??] The author is listed as Allen Quist, M.A. The book is $15 PLUS $3.00 s&h. It is also proof that lack of information sharing can delay widespread awareness of the extent of the education "conspiracy." Other states were earlier pilot programs, but news was slow in being recognized for the widespread system that was being implemented. We are noting more and more that when someone steps out and writes up what they are encountering in their district (or state) others suddenly see similarities in other districts and states. It is only when many people see an issue as a national issue, not a local one, that national journalists and legislators have to respond and give the boost needed to keep the issue front and center. And, it is only when people read and circulate books and articles which document the depth and intensity of the education "takeover" movement, that so-far-uninvolved and unaware Americans will join the fight to stop using the schools for political and corporate purposes.] Joan Battey .
