20% graduated with credit in algebra or geometry.
They used CMSP Comprehensive Math and Science Program

supported by Natioal Science Foundation, uses 2 class
periods per day, they had to fire vocational teachers.
Only A or B grades given, or fail. You must master (at 
least B) or attend summer school)


By spring of 1993 math scores up from 26 in mid school
to 54 at high school, then 57 (big deal)
