\doc\web\99\12\inplace.txt Actually, I've seen this idea of created with history in place in various creation books in dribs and drabs. One says the strata must have already been in the earth since it's obviously too old for the flood (the more popular view is that the flood created it), another says we can see star light from stars millions of light years away because it was created - light in transit - at the moment of creation. There appears to be _no_ authoritative scientific account of creation, merely thousands of books and web sites each taking their own stab at evolution. It makes their God out to be a deceiving liar. To create billions of years of history, history that never happened, is clearly a deception. Think about it, bones of dinosaurs, dinosaurs that never lived. A fossilerfous geological column, full of fossils of animals that never lived, put there by God to deceive us into thinking that they did live. Light from supernova explosions, that never exploded, just put there to make us think they did. The list goes on and on. Actually this theory of "creation with appearance of age" was floated over one hundred years ago. It was shot down by John Stuart Mill and several others. The idea was put in such a shameful light that hardly any other fundamentalists has mentioned it since. Duane Gish, of the Creation Research Institute, has brought it up again in a slightly different light. He says some things had to be created with the appearance of age. He says that complex atoms, which was supposed to be fused inside stars and supernova explosions, had to be created intact by God, therefore the supernova that was supposed to create them never really happened.
