Parker Curator Florida Creation Science Center Master Books (c) 1979,1995 [picture book aimed at 4-6th grade] Did the flood cover the whole earth? It surely looks like it. Flood sediment covers over three-fourths of the earth... the Bible tells us the mountains rose up and the valleys and down at the end of the flood. Are fossils the plants, animals and people that were drowned in the Flood? I think most fossils were formed during the year of Noah's Flood. Why do fossil shells look so much like shells today, Dad? If God created snails and clams, then fossils should look a lot like snails and clams living today. Do you mean fossil plants are just orginary plants? Most of them are. Judging from the fossils, the world once had many trilobites.. they all died off, or became extinct... they probably died in the great flood.. they lived on the bottom and probably got buried. God created dinosaurs, and the way it looks, dinosaurs were drowned in the great Flood. Wow! Man and dinosaur lived together! I guess that means they could have made footprints at the same time, too. Dad, if dinosaurs were alive when the Flood came, did Noah have to take them on the ark? God told Noah to take at least one pair of all the dry-land animals. Why don't we see them today? Before the Flood, it was warm and mild and lush green over the whole world. Other things got really big too; a gragonfly over two feet across... a lot of them probably drowned in the Flood, or could not find food [strata are formed when the trilobites got buried, then the dinosaurs, then the other animals] How long does it take to make a fossil? Only a few years, maybe 100, possibly 1,000 at the most [the Grand Canyon was cut by lot of water, not time] Mt St. Helens cut a small version of the grand canyon in just 5 days. Don't forget that 5,000 years since the Flood is a long time. Doesn't it take a long time to form oil and coal? They can be formed in a science lab in just a few hours. ..So that means dinosaurs and trilobites and people all lived at the same time! Is that true? It surely seems so. Job had seen a large land dinosaur called the Behemoth, and Leviathan that lived in the sea. Why is it that so many people say fossils are millions of years old? For one thing, if you did not believe in God, you would probably have to believe that life created itself by chance. Don't people who believe in evolution have _any_ evidence for their side? ... Maybe, one fossil has a beak like a bird, but a tail like a lizard.. it's not just one fossil, but the whole weight of evidence that supports what the Bible says about the Creation and the Flood. Oak Ridge National labs dated dinosaur rocks and got only thousands of years. Hawaiian lava flows only 200 years old were dated as millions or billions of years old. Evolution is not based on the fossil evidence, it is based on belief that you have to explain everything without God.
