He discusses this on page 340, and gives the original ref on page 348 (see note #55). The project ended in a scandal, literally-- with indictments and convictions of two of the principals. The whole sordid saga is described in chapter 6 of Herman Spitz' book, The Raising of Intelligence (Erlbaum, 1986). The book may be out of print; my recollection is that I picked up a copy through the used book service for a pittance (www.mxbf.com). Right now I am without a copier. I'm waiting for the HP R80 to arrive in stores. If you can't find the Spitz book e-mail me again in a few weeks and I will copy the chapter and fax it to your or mail it. If I had a copier, obviously would do that right now. Best, Patti P.S. Many thanks for posting my dissertation abstract to your listserv. One of your subscribers is a reporter who contacted me, read the dissertation and wrote a column about it that I'm told will hit the streets in NY tomorrow. -----Original Message----- From: arthur hu To: Patricia Hausman Date: Monday, July 12, 1999 2:07 PM Subject: Re: [h-bd] Re: Improvements in education You got more references on this, I'm amazed I didn't have any entries for this in my index, I'd like to beef it up.
