A few weeks ago, I sent out a short description of the STAR Exams and
the STAR Augmentation Exams < mathematicallycorrect.com/starbkg.htm >

A few days ago the California Department of Education posted a file
with the text of a booklet that will be sent to districts as an aid
in explaining the tests to parents.  This includes a reasonable
description of the testing and reporting process.
