Shirley Basarab, author the Education Reform the Secret Weapon
spoke to the Libertarian Party members at Oscar's II last week, it
was carried on community cable channel.  Darn, should have brought the digicam.


I finally had no more excuses to get the book, which lists me as one of many sources. It's a very good handbook with listings for most of the major buzzwords and people in the reform movement
for $20. The amazing thing is that it's all in one place, but it's still
hard to get for the uninitiated.

It is my impression that she made an excellent first impression that
may kick of interest in Libertarians in ed reform, where so far they
have either been indifferent to or even supportive of ed reform and 
"higher standards", which should help my bid for SPI. I imagine the
American Heritage Party is just about where I'm at (or I'm where they are at), the Libertarians will take a few months to get on board,
the Republicans will take longer.


If anybody knows how to get hold of shirley, the pictures on her 
web site are broken.
