References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Status: Rushton here: The Lynn-Flynn Effect has been found on adults in several studies (I believe reviewed in flynn's classic 1987 Psych Bull paper). The Dutch Armed Forces have been giving Raven's Matrices to conscripts since about (oddly) 1944 and find the rising scores to at least the mid-1980s. I believe Lynn's classic 1982 study in Nature (on the Japanese) found the gain in 40-plus year olds from the 1950s from WAIS to WAIS-R (although it might have been WISC given to an adult sample). He noted that the Japanese 45 year olds had gone through childhood and maturity through very difficult times indeed for Japan (depression and war) and yet scored higher than the U.S. standardization sample.
