I got this handed down through Arthur Hu's ed loop and I have been keeping
up on the certification in Washington State. I'am a researcher, a parent
that has been researching out ed reform and goals 2000 since 93. I belong
to a citizens group called citizens united for responsible education.
On teacher certification call and get Washington:teacher certification for
the 21st century.

This also applies to private schools in this state and it is under ed
reform. They told me this is just a draft but the drafts become law.
This is the back door approach to getting into private schools since we
have to have certified teachers.
The teachers will be held accountable to teaching the state's curriculum
and goals. If they don't they don't get their certificate.,which is the
certificate of Mastery just like the students. I don't have a problem with
making them learn the basic skills and holding them accountable for that
but you have to remember they have redefined the basics.
Also get the New Standards for teacher Certification goals 2000 field
tests. this is what they piloted in the colleges already.

In there you will find what teachers have to collect on students in order
to teach them they say.

They are redoing all the teacher programs in the state and other states as
well. They are trying to figure out how to re certify all teachers.
Gov Locke is going to encourage them to get a professional certificate and
a national one and they will get paid more if they receive this new
certificate.
Hope this helps you. Get the word out
Thank you
