You broke the code. To add to this, the head of NCATE is the Kentucky Commissioner of Education. You will never find a more devoted radical reformer. By the way, he also head the committee trying to create the Clinton "voluntary" tests. And he holds big sway in the Council of Chief State School Officers, too. But, the NCATE position is by far the most powerful, in my opinion. NCATE is rapidly taking over all teacher colleges, by the way -- a very disturbing development. Let me hear some comments about how all of you "feel" about having Kentucky style reform ideas pushed into your states via the accreditation of your teaching school programs.
