My alegebra was a bit rusty to say the least. However, it turns out the kids were suppose to design "tables" to figure out the problem. (My daughter was taking a makeup test during math class--so she had no idea how they were suppose to solve these problems. They went over the material while she was taking her test.) I asked her, "how on earth do you use tables to solve these problems?" She answered, "Guess and test." Can you imagine how long the assignment would have taken us if we had "Quess and Test?" We would still be at it now! .
