Yep, I just returned from five days in San Diego in which city I acquired more tan than I am likely to gain over the rest of our "summer." Enough boasting. The DSHS publication, "Connections," (June, 1998) carries a full page on the Wenatchee story as told by Rosie Oreskovich, the Assistant Secretary for Childrens' Services. For you bureaucratically challenged folk, she is second(childrens' services) in command to Lyle Quasim the agency "Secretary." You will find the story at the URL below. Unless you have an interest in it, don't bother; it is lengthy. I reiterate my opinion from earlier in this event; I tend to think this is one that DSHS did not screw up. I am swayed by three sources that won't mean much to you: my wife; a good friend of my wife and attorney who was asked to look in to Wenatchee; and the fact that the agency is taking a really aggressive posture on this. One could argue it is the last gasp from the agency Secretary but I do believe that Oreskovich believes what she says. Have a read and if you have any questions I will try to answer them from my little knowledge. This publication is distributed to the public so you are free to do as you choose with the information; you will not embarrass me. www.wa.gov/dshs/wenatchee.html John Tyson
