42. You have worked hard and have learned a vast amount of material about verbs. It is now time for a complete review of everything in this packet. There is a type of review called PARSING which takes in everything that we have studied. Read the sentences which you are to parse. Then look at the following directions for Worksheet #18 and fill in each column in the parsing chart.

WORKSHEET #18

Number ----- means Singular or Plural (S. or P.) --- Find the verb first. Then find the subject. If the subject is singular, then the verb has to be singular, too.

Person ----- 1st, 2nd, or 3rd persons:

A. 1st person -- I or We

B. 2nd person -- You

C. 3rd person -- talking about someone or something

Tense ---- You know what this term means. (If the verb is T. P., see if you can apply your knowledge and figure out what tense the T. P. verb is.)

Kind of Verb ---- I. L., T. A., T. P., or I. C.
