c:\doc\web\98\01\steinb.txt The Steinberg book is virtually the ONLY book out there that backs up my research that race matters much more than income, and it's how hard and seriously you work that matters much more than either since their finding was that blacks did more poorly, and Asians did better in every district they looked at, and that Asians worked harder, but blacks less hard in every instance to earn their respectively higher or lower grade point averages and test scores. They didn't echo my finding that in the one or two cases where minorities did work as hard, they appear to do as well as expected. My National Review article, for those that missed it, is at http://www.nationalreview.com/nationalreview/15sept97/hu091597.html or email me for a copy. > From: DNC0654@iname.com > Date: Tue, 06 Jan 1998 22:44:50 -0600 > To: brucec76@ix.netcom.com > Cc: 4Education Consumers Clearhouse > Subject: Steinberg > by way of J.
