Subject: Daily Classroom Schedule
Our learning consultant has been presenting material to our teachers
about how to rearrange classroom schedules and furniture. After
examining the following daily schedule it is not difficult to determine
the reason our children are not learning. I have asked one of our
school board members why the learning consultant would encourage
teachers to spend only 15 minutes on Math. Of course, a mother told me
yesterday when she questioned her daughter on her Math lesson the
daughter replied ,"Oh we did not do Math today, we made MONKEYS." The
mother said the monkeys went along with a book the children were
reading. Our school board member told me these are only examples, does
not necessarily mean the teachers are using these for their classrooms.
I think I am going to ask to see examples of teachers' planbooks. When
I taught in NJ the state mandated that a school district must teach
certain subjects for a specified amount of time during the day. I
certainly hope that Pennsylvania is mandating more than 15 minutes.

Subject: Another Daily Schedule!
My classroom schedule never looked like this ..I think common sense
would tell you this is why children are not learning...This schedule
devotes about ten minutes to MATH! I do not know if Carman-Ainsworth
is a school or a program. Does anyone have a clue? Our district is
paying a thousand dollars a day for this terrific guidance!!! I think
the administration and school board are very stupid people.. !
