I had noted it was a bit odd that in the cultural sensitivity section, it said that students not good in english might need to know terminology about serious medical injuries and hospitalization. Students were to ask each other how many and what kinds and severity of injuries they had on the school grounds. The final result was a tally of injuries by severity of each classroom in the 5th and 6th grades. Now that's a fun, real life topic. Why not tally assaults and racial incidents?? Now find the 5th grade MATH in this project.... Student Sheet 19 Practicing the Survey Questions What was it like to answer the questions? I felt nervous. I was nervous becuse its' hard to answer your problems and injuries in front of another person. It's also hard to remember and talk out, your experiences. Other than being nervous, I think the interview went pretty well. I answered every question in a positive way and did everything right. Now interview one or more people yourself. Write how well you think the questions wrked, and suggest how to make them better I think the questions really well. It was good that my brother answered every questions seriously , said the answers in a big voice, and he wasn't nervous. I think the questions would've been easier to understand I would've gave more details, discribed the question better, and if I put in better and more serious questions.
