Require reports of individual students' scores to include the Standard Error of Measurement. 2. Require individual student score reports to take into account scorer error. 3. Eliminate all developmentally inappropriate and nonaligned items. 4. Eliminate all format complexity. 5. Eliminate all culturally-biased questions. 6. Subject the WASL to standard validity and reliability tests. 7. Amend the length of the test to reduce student fatigue. 8. Make individually scored WASLs available to teachers, including scoring criteria (rubrics, anchor papers, etc.), to evaluate instruction and learning as required by ESHB 1209. 9. Eliminate the use of the WASL for high stakes and use it as a systems check."
