1. Just got the Washington State Republican Party
flyer which blames Governor Locke for not passing
crucial education reform. This from a guy who 
promised to be better than Bergeson at implementing
1209 / WASL. We need to tell him louder that Locke
nearly PASSED reform and GOP's job is to STOP WASL.
Carlson adopted a strategy of promising to be Locke
but better, and he got killed.


2. Kirkland Public library had a spanish language
version of a SPI document Para llegar mas arriba
(I think helping students achieve at higher levels),
8.5x11 revisado en mayo del 2000, but it has test
results, questions, and responses in Spanish, which
is a total lie isn't it? I never heard of the WASL
in Spanish, how in the hell could they get people 
in Iowa to grade papers in Spanish, or come up with
rubrics in Spanish? Can somebody harass Terry
Bergeson or alert the press over this scam??


Are any other states pulling stunts like this, as 
far as I know, no state is giving their high stakes
test in any language other than english.
