Has anyone at OSPI ever heard the expression K I S S: KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!? Is it at all possible to get these meetings transcribed? Seems like it would be worthwhile. Could you tell me what Terry was saying about the local school boards having final say in something? I'll try to go back and listen, but it was a document of some kind that she wanted "school boards" added to. Considering all the problems and potential for problems with the WASL, wouldn't it be a good idea to throw the sucker out? Not to be redundant or anything. I went to my church picnic today, and was talking to a girl who used to be in my Sunday School class. She's a senior this year. She was telling about taking the WASL with a substitute teacher who thought it was a timed test. That threw all of the students' scores off, so they failed to meet the standard and now have a note in their files as to why. The thing is plagued with locusts and frogs. Get rid of it before it turns the river to blood or kills everyone's first born--- PLEASE!!!! Juanita
