Mostly by dividing the teachers and the day into two big periods: math/science and humanities. Each could be taught by two teachers, but not necessarily. It means each teacher has only two groups of kids a day, usually plus an advisory of a very small number of kids like 6 or 8. The goal, as Debby says, is to make high school like kindergarten.
