Chris makes some good points, though Bennett has been
moving away from Goals 2000 and STW. Carlson and GW Bush
do fall under the spell of "higher standards and 
accountability". Which is why it's even more important
to support me because I'm the only one of these guys that's
congruent with your views that's going to make it past the 
primary that's going to beat whoever needs to be beaten over
the head over obe. Even if I fail in WA, I'll be in a good 
position to be picked up by GW Bush and beat him over the
head with Lyne Cheney's help. Has Lyne come out in favor 
of goals 2000 / stw / high stakes testing??

Letters Editor:


The integrity of the State Republican's platform will be revealed by their
actions in the primary.  For years, they demanded using the 10th Amendment
to abolish the Department of Education, subsequently repealing
Outcome-based Education, HB 1209, Goals 2000, and School-to-Work.


Bill Bennett is coming to endorse John Carlson for Governor.  Bennett's
agenda directly contradicts their platform.  President Reagan's promise to
abolish the Department of Education failed.  It escalated under
Bennett.  As Secretary of Education, Bennett:


          **  promised to complete the goals of globalist Secretary Bell,
which included establishing Outcome-based Education in all U.S. schools;


         **  was in office when agreements were made with the U.S.S.R. to
exchange curriculum, teachers and students using private corporations;


        **  endorsed national testing and curriculum;


        **  instituted a Study Group on National Assessments chaired by
Lamar Alexander, President Bush's Secretary of Education, who implemented
America 2000.  Other members were Hillary Clinton, and California
Superintendent of Public Instruction Bill Honig, who was later removed from
office for criminal action.


President Bush's America 2000 brought selection of 11 design teams to
change America's schools.  Not surprisingly, Bennett's Modern Red
Schoolhouse was selected.  It fulfilled the requirement to implement OBE,
parent education to demote them to partners with social services and
schools in the academic, emotional and social development of their
children.  SCANS skills and competencies fulfill the School-to-Work
component.


Lastly, the Modern Red Schoolhouse is to include autonomy from the
district, meaning it will be able to receive Goals 2000 charter funding, be
free from any accountability to taxpayers or local or State elected
officials.  Only a nationalized system will remain, which will fund the
corporatization of education.


Will Washington Republicans vote for Senator Hochstatter to follow the
Constitutions and their platform, or will it be Carlson, because his
charter education plan parallels Bennetts?
