	Does anyone know what is going on with the Ballard High School Auto Tech.
Center?


This is another waste of taxpayers funds.  Seattle Schools built this 30,000
square foot center and it has been vacant since it was built (for nearly two
years).  Apparently Seattle Schools decided after they built the facility
that they didn't want to train students in auto mechanics!


We asked Seattle schools how much the facility cost and what the current use
was.  They sent the letter to their General Council and we have been advised
that it will take at least 30 days for Seattle School District to decide if
they will provide the documentation or if they need more time to find the
documents.


We called Superintendent Olchefske's office and got the run around again.
Olchefske's on vaction and only the Legal Dept. can help us.


Anyone out there know what is really happening and how many other Seattle
School projects are there like this one?  bob williams EFF
