Each test currently has four sections: (1) Language Arts, (2) Mathematics, (3) History and Geography, and (4) Science. Forms B and C will be available by next spring. Schools will be able to rotate forms each year to maintain test security and ensure the teaching of the full domain of each content area. The tests are meant to provide schools with information about what children have understood and retained. They are not designed to compare students against each other in percentile terms, but rather to indicate how well students have gained important knowledge that will ready them for the next stage of learning. The Core Knowledge Foundation has contracted with Touchstone Applied Science Associates (TASA) to distribute and score the tests. You can obtain information by contacting Linda Straley at Touchstone Applied Science Associates 4 Hardscrabble Heights Brewster, NY 10509 914-277-8100 Sincerely, Connie Jones Constance Jones, Ph.D. President Core Knowledge Foundation 801 E.
